Terms of Use
Last updated 3 August 2026.
What this site is
AmpHour is an independent reference for off-grid power equipment. It publishes specifications, computed compatibility verdicts, and prices gathered from merchants. It sells nothing. Every purchase happens on a merchant's own site under that merchant's terms.
Not electrical advice
Compatibility verdicts follow NEC 690.7 and 690.8 methods and are published in good faith, but they are general information, not engineering advice for your installation. Wiring solar and battery systems involves real hazards — fire, arc flash, electrocution — and local code, permitting, and inspection requirements vary.
Confirm every figure against the manufacturer's documentation, and use a qualified electrician. A verdict on this site is a starting point for that conversation, never a substitute for it.
Specifications and prices
Specifications are drawn from manufacturer datasheets, merchant feeds, and product pages. They pass automated physics validation before publication and a large share are checked by hand, but transcription errors and stale manufacturer data are still possible.
Prices are refreshed on a schedule and carry the timestamp of their last check. They change without notice, and a price here may not match the merchant's at the moment you click. The merchant's own listing is always authoritative. Where our figure is too old to trust, no number is shown at all rather than a stale one.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links earn us a commission when they result in a sale, at no additional cost to you. This does not affect ranking: merchants we earn nothing from are listed beside the ones we do, at the same prominence, in the same price order. If a non-paying merchant is cheapest, it appears first.
We are a participant in various affiliate programs, including the Amazon Associates Program, and earn from qualifying purchases.
No warranty
This site is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carbide Coding LLC is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or cost arising from reliance on information published here, from equipment purchased through links here, or from the site being unavailable or inaccurate.
Acceptable use
You may read, link to, and quote this site with attribution. Do not scrape it at a rate that degrades service for others, republish the catalogue wholesale, or present our compatibility verdicts as your own. Brand names, model numbers, and product images belong to their respective owners and appear here for identification.
Changes
These terms may change; the date above changes with them. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
